How do I determine the right lamp shade size?

In most cases, the lamp shade should be roughly twice the width of the lamp base. The height of the shade should be about half the height of the base. All of our table lamps come with matching shades.

How are Murano glass lamps made?

Depending on the complexity of the lamp, artisans work in teams of up to four. The teams are typically led by one master artisan, or maestro. The team melts raw materials in a special stone furnace over 2,000°F until the mix becomes fluid. The artisans gather the molten glass on a blowpipe and use traditional metal tools like pliers, shears, and paddles to shape the Murano glass lamp by hand. Individual components are meticulously crafted, joined, and then cooled at precise temperatures to prevent cracking. Authentic Murano glass lamps are made in Venice, Italy.

What bulb temperature is best for a brass lamp?

For most brass lamps, a warm 2700K bulb creates an inviting, comfortable atmosphere. A warmer bulb temperature enhances the golden tones of brass and produces a soft, ambient glow that works particularly well in living rooms, dining areas, and the bedroom.
